Date:3/22/2010

Participants use an easy online drawing board to create a simple drawing and invite friends and family to vote for it. Network Solutions® will donate $1 per vote for the winning drawing with all proceeds going to support the March of Dimes.

Herndon, VA (PRWEB) March 22, 2010 -- In the United States, 1 in 8 babies is born prematurely, and 1 in 10 will end up in a neonatal intensive care unit. Prematurity is the leading cause of infant mortality in the first year of life. The March of Dimes is focused on improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. To help increase awareness and raise funds for the March of Dimes and their efforts, Network Solutions® is launching an online drawing contest. This contest is open to anyone who would like to use an easy online drawing board to create a picture in support of the March of Dimes. Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to vote online for the best drawing. Network Solutions will donate a $1 per vote (up to a maximum of $10,000) for the winning drawing. All proceeds will go to the March of Dimes in the “artist’s” name.

“As a father of five children, I understand the importance of helping women sustain healthy pregnancies and preventing birth defects,” said Tim Kelly, CEO and President of Network Solutions. “This online drawing contest is a fun and easy way to support the March of Dimes and their efforts to prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality.”

“We are very excited to have Network Solutions support our efforts,” said Dona Dei, Director of Program Services for the Maryland-National Capital Area of the March of Dimes. “The contest helps promote our work to give all babies a fighting chance against threats to their health. It also gives people the ability to share their interest i
