--During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Premier Partnerships Promote Breast Cancer Awareness--

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- breastcancer.org today announced several "pink" corporate and retail sponsorships benefiting the organization during National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. Corporate sponsorships include Campbell Soup Company, Comcast, Lenox, OrganicBouquet.com, Safeway, and Tasty Baking Company with new retail partnerships ranging from clothing and apparel, to decor and gourmet food -- all of which are intended to promote breast cancer awareness.

With over eight million visitors per year, breastcancer.org continues to be the premier Internet source for responsible, accurate medical information and visual images about breast cancer, helping patients and survivors manage their breast cancer experience with confidence.

"Businesses 'going pink' during October is an incredibly powerful way of raising awareness about breast cancer prevention and treatment," said Dr. Marisa Weiss, Founder and President of breastcancer.org. "The efforts made by these businesses will directly support the breastcancer.org mission to provide women and families with comprehensive, medically-reviewed information about breast cancer, 24 hours a day, seven days a week."

Following is information regarding corporate and retail sponsorships whose efforts will benefit breastcancer.org:

-- Campbell: This October, fourteen million cans of Campbell's two most popular condensed soup varieties, Tomato and Chicken Noodle, will model a pink label in place of the traditional red and white label and line grocery store shelves nationwide. This program supports several breast cancer education, research, and awareness initiatives including breastcancer.org.

-- Comcast: Comcast has launched its Breast Cancer Hope video-on-demand initiative, featuring inspirational and educational programming. More than forty breast cancer related programs from Lifetime, Style Network, HBO, Discovery Health Channel, and breastcancer.org will be available on Comcast ON DEMAND though the month of October. The offering also features information about detecting and living with breast cancer as well as discussion forums, health and fitness advice and relevant news clips on a companion web site, http://www.comcast.net/breastcancer.

-- Lenox: Lenox, a longtime supporter of breastcancer.org and creator of exquisite tableware, collectibles and gifts, offers a year round "Gift of Knowledge" product line available in the breastcancer.org gift shop as well as online at http://www.lenox.com.

-- OrganicBouquet.com: OrganicBouquet.com, the market leader in organic flowers, supports breastcancer.org throughout the year by donating a portion of all floral and gift purchases made through the breastcancer.org gift shop. Organic Bouquet has created the Pink Passion floral arrangement, designed especially for breastcancer.org.

-- Safeway, Inc.: During October, Safeway is conducting a public service campaign to support breast cancer research and awareness programs, including breastcancer.org. Customers can donate at check stands at all 1,740 stores in the Safeway chain. In addition, a portion of proceeds of Melissa Etheridge's new CD, "The Awakening" and specially marked pink products will benefit these programs.

-- Tasty Baking Company: Tasty Baking Company is supporting breastcancer.org through sales of its newly released, limited edition Tastykake Strawberry Jelly Krimpet. The Strawberry Jelly Krimpet may be purchased in grocery stores, online at http://www.tastykake.com, and in the breastcancer.org gift shop, while supplies last.

Additional products are available in the gift shop at http://www.breastcancer.org as well as corporate websites and local vendors. High resolution images of all products are available upon request.
