National Sleep Foundation’s Sleep Show® to Give Attendees a Glimpse Into the Bedroom of the Future

The National Sleep Foundation’s Sleep Show opens its doors on March 8-10, 2019 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Thousands of people are expected to attend the event which will offer information for getting a better night’s sleep, and provide a glimpse into the future of sleep.

The three-day long expo will bring together industry leaders to present the latest products and technology in the ever-evolving science of sleep. “We are proud to make Houston the permanent home for the Sleep Show,” says David Cloud, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sleep Foundation. “Sleep products are rapidly changing, so every year attendees will be able to see the best new sleep products.”

Estimated to be valued at $28.6 billion in 2017, the sleep industry is one of the largest growing markets in the United States; sleep’s time has arrived.

Research shows that high-quality sleep has a profound positive effect on physical and mental well-being. But while 65 percent of American adults believe sleep is directly related to next-day effectiveness, only 10 percent prioritize it over other aspects of daily life.

“People spend one-third of their lives sleeping so we want to make sure they’re aware of new ways to make their sleep better,” explains Could. “Too many Americans willingly accept poor sleep quality as a fact of life, but recent years have brought rapid advancements from cooling mattress technologies to innovations in lighting. This event will help improve people’s sleep for years to come.”

Exhibitors at the event include Serta, Bed Bath & Beyond, Tempur-Sealy, Happiest Baby, Mattress Firm, and more. These top brands are expected to unveil new products that will help people of all ages get a good night’s rest.

Attendees will be able to enter for a chance to win and take home some of the most cutting-edge products on showcase. Sleep Show will also host over 100 talks focused on helping attendees improve their sleep health.

Founded in 1990, the National Sleep Foundation is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving health and well-being through sleep education and advocacy.
