National Medical Association Urges Congress to Deliver on Health Care

WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "America's health care problems did not change when the polls closed in Massachusetts last week, therefore we still need Congress to act on Health Care Reform now", insists Dr. Willarda Edwards, President of the National Medical Association (NMA).

"The focus on the economy and jobs is necessary and proper, however insurance coverage and addressing wellness care versus sick care is what health care reform will bring to all Americans.   We must address this in order to make this a healthier nation," she continued.   "We urge Congressional leaders to stay at the negotiating table until a meaningful resolution to the current impasse is reached. We have all worked too hard to get this far for us to turn back now."
