Through Generous Supporters the Event has Raised $1 Million to Date
WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following was released by the National Kidney Foundation of the National Capital Area:
WHAT: The 2007 Kidney Ball will feature entertainment by the
legendary Ms. Patti LaBelle and play host to more than 1,100
of the Washington area's business, government, health, and
community leaders. Guests will also enjoy cocktails, dinner,
silent and live auctions, and dancing.
WHY: The Washington, DC area leads the nation in the prevalence of
kidney disease, with more than 375,000 people affected, 4,800
on dialysis, and 1,700 waiting for a life-saving kidney
transplant. The Kidney Ball is the National Kidney
Foundation's largest one-day fundraiser, raising funds to
support medical research, patient and community services,
professional education, and organ donation awareness.
