WHAT: In March 2007, YouthAIDS Global Ambassador, acclaimed actress
And philanthropist, Ashley Judd teamed up with Bollywood
stars Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan to
explore how HIV travels from high-risk groups to the general
population and why young women are increasingly at risk for
infection. On this collaborative tour, the team visited
brothels and slums in Mumbai to truck stops in Jaipur to the
affluent communities of Delhi. National Geographic Channel
will host the world premiere screening of the film that
documents the journey, "India's Hidden Plague." The film
will premiere in the US on Friday, November 30 at 10 PM
ET/PT on the National Geographic Channel and air
internationally on December 1.
