National Foundation for Infectious Diseases honors VCU physician with Maxwell Finland Awar...(who have made 'outstanding contributions...),Health

who have made 'outstanding contributions to the understanding of infectious diseases or public health.' The award is named for Maxwell Finland, M.D., a distinguished scholar and scientist who pioneered work in epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance, and helped 'define the discipline of infectious diseases as we know it today.'

Wenzel will be presented with the award at a ceremony next year in Washington, D.C.
