National Dental Insurer United Concordia Successfully Launches Real-Time Claims Processing with Tesia-PCI
Date:2/18/2009

GREAT RIVER, N.Y., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Tesia-PCI has successfully implemented and launched Real Time Claims processing capabilities with United Concordia Companies, Inc., a national dental insurer headquartered in Harrisburg, PA.

The implementation process took just over two months from plan to launch. Tesia-PCI's 18 years of Real Time Claims experience and expertise helped United Concordia to avoid common Real Time Claims processing pitfalls.

"By connecting to Tesia-PCI's Real Time Claims clearinghouse, United Concordia is able to reach nearly 70,000+ dental offices in real time. This ensures members are provided the most accurate information about their billing before they leave the dental office," said Tesia-PCI President Marc Menendez.

According to Menendez, the enhanced connectivity also will help reduce a doctor's accounts receivables through balance billing on the spot. As a result, there will be a decreased need to call United Concordia to determine payment calculations, and it may eventually lead to elimination of paper EOBs.
