National Council on Disability Makes Recommendations to Create More Federal Job Opportunities for People With Disabilities
Date:3/31/2009

NCD Employment Committee Co-Chair Linda Wetters added, "Recognition of continuing barriers to federal employment has led to some promising solutions that could create opportunities for agencies seeking qualified workers and for persons with disabilities seeking employment with the Federal Government."

On the basis of the current status of people with disabilities in the Federal Government, NCD developed 10 recommendations. Five recommendations address the need for the Office of Personnel Management to examine personnel practices that continue
