Under the agreement, U.S. Preventive Medicine is one of 12 companies chosen to participate in a pilot program with the NCQA, which is developing standards for the certification of organizations that provide wellness and health promotion services.

"We are very excited and pleased that the NCQA has chosen U.S. Preventive Medicine to participate in this extremely important project," said Christopher Fey, CEO and Chairman of U.S. Preventive Medicine. "At a time when a growing number of employers are offering their workers an assortment of programs to help them better manage their health, having one of the most respected health care quality organizations in the country agree to evaluate our programs and services represents an important step toward our future growth and success."

U.S. Preventive Medicine offers employers, brokers and health plans The Prevention Plan(TM), a personalized online wellness program with registered nurse coaching and advocacy that enables individuals to determine their top health risks and receive a customized plan to lower those risks and become healthier. Through The Prevention Plan(TM), a person's health status is assessed through comprehensive blood work, vitals and a thorough health history. Goals are then established, and innovative tools and RN assistance are provided to take the person step-by-step toward improved health.
