National Climate Organizations Join Forces In Historic Push For Climate and Clean Energy Solutions
Date:3/5/2010

"Since 2006, The Climate Project has built an effective grassroots movement of climate change educators around the world,” added Jenny Clad, Executive Director of The Climate Project. “We have an active, diverse volunteer force of more than 3000 individuals across our eight international branches - all working to raise awareness and to engage people in their communities about the issue of climate change. We look forward to consolidating our efforts and strengthening the common platform from which we will continue to expand together in 2010."

Both organizations were founded in 2006 and share the common goal of educating people about the urgency and solvability of the climate crisis.    The united organization will operate as The Alliance for Climate Protection with its headquarters office in Washington, DC. The Climate Project will continue its tradition of grassroots organizing on a global scale as a program of The Alliance for Climate Protection, with operations based in Nashville, TN.
