Impac Software and JRM, the official journal of the NCRA, partnered on this award to recognize exemplary work in the cancer registry field throughout 2008. The awards were presented to the authors during NCRA's Annual Education Conference, currently taking place in New Orleans.
Published in the Winter 2008 issue of JRM, the Impac Software Award for Journal of Registry Management: Best Paper of the Year 2008, went to: "Development and Implementation of a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences-Interdisciplinary Degree (BAAS-ID) in Cancer Information Management." The 2008 Honorable Mention was awarded to: "Studying Patterns of Care: An Evaluation of a Project Using CDC-NPCR Data" published in the Spring 2008 issue of JRM. Linda G. Alley, PhD, RN; John P. Fulton, PhD; Jennifer M. Wike, MBA, MPH; Amy R. Kahn, MS, CTR; Winny Roshala, BA, CTR; Vivien W. Chen, PhD; Randi K.
