National Association of Professional Women Announces Victoria Smith, Office Manager at Apex Healthcare, LLC, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 02, 2014

NAPW honors Victoria Smith, Office Manager at Apex Healthcare, LLC as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Smith is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in office management. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

Managing a busy medical office requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills as well as keeping current on healthcare operations and technologies. Victoria Smith demonstrates these qualities every day as Office Manager at Apex Healthcare, which specializes in primary care, urgent care and minor office procedures.

Mrs. Smith is currently pursuing an R.N. degree; then she will begin working towards becoming a nurse practitioner, which has been a life-long dream. Her career in the medical field began in 2007 as a credentialing coordinator and within three years she worked her way up to her present position as Apex’s office manager.

Having come up the ranks as a credentialing coordinator in another practice, Mrs. Smith was given a valuable understanding of the nitty-gritty functions of a medical practice and its policies and bylaws, which supported her transition to an office manager position. Currently, she uses her exceptional accounting skills for payroll, compensation schedules for physicians, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, preparing budgets and taxes. She stays informed on current healthcare operations and the latest financial management technologies designed to assist with the efficient operation of a state-of-the-art facility.

NAPW's mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
