Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 22, 2014

NAPW honors Cheryl A. Kreider as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. Ms. Kreider is passionate and committed to best practices that support leadership, education and mentoring, especially toward women. She is dedicated to the pursuit of lifetime learning, education and service to the community. She is a nationally recognized Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, holds an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from Eastern University and is currently completing her M.S. in Organizational Dynamics with a focus on Individual and Organizational Executive Coaching at the University of Pennsylvania (2016).

“My expertise is in healthcare system operations, regulatory compliance and strategic business planning,” says Ms. Kreider, who has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. She has held numerous leadership positions in both nonprofit and for-profit integrated healthcare delivery systems. Ms. Kreider has provided senior leadership and oversight for a number of healthcare facilities in Pennsylvania, including Hahnemann University Hospital-Tenet, CHS Hospital, Temple University Hospital and Temple University Children’s Medical Center.

Currently, Ms. Kreider is Vice President of Ambulatory Growth at Mercy Health System in Philadelphia. Her goals are to increase access to healthcare in ambulatory setting urgent cares, medical office buildings, retail pharmacy, wellness centers and tele-health for 2015. She is also Chief Executive and President at Kreider Health Solutions, LLC. In this role, she serves as an executive consultant, offering her expertise in healthcare operations, talent acquisition, strategic planning, revenue cycle and regulatory compliance.

This October, Ms. Kreider attended the Thomas Jefferson Population Health Management Academy to understand global “Best Practices” in order to better care for our communities. “Now that more of the population has access to healthcare through the Affordable Care Act, it is important to increase services and partner with our communities,” she says. “Population Health Management will focus on wellness and prevention of illness, with increased monitoring of patients even after they leave the healthcare setting.”
