NYC’s Living Well Medical Introduces The Gonstead System of Biomechanical Analysis

Living Well Medical, a premiere physical rehabilitation and chiropractic facility in downtown NYC, is pleased to announce the addition of chiropractic treatments using The Gonstead System of biomechanical analysis. Provided by Dr. Jose Cortes, one of only three Gonstead-certified practitioners in NYC, The Gonstead System is a carefully constructed technique that uses five specific criteria to detect subluxations along the spine: visualization, instrumentation, static palpation, motion palpation, and x-ray analysis.

Style and technique are crucial when providing chiropractic care. The introduction of The Gonstead System at the hands of Dr. Cortes offers a great advantage for all chiropractic patients, particularly those who are not aware of their cause or source of pain, since this multifaceted diagnostic approach is able to uncover spinal and soft tissue dysfunction at a deeper level than other methods.

Gonstead-certified chiropractors utilize an exclusive approach when detecting and correcting spinal subluxations. The base of The Gonstead System lies in finding the presence of shifts to the body’s foundation, which is located at the pelvic level. As long as this structure, consisting of hip and lower back bones, is evenly balanced, spinal health is assured. However, any changes to the balance of the foundation can have devastating effects not only in the affected area, but all over the body.
