Date:11/18/2013

Fort Lauderdale-davie, Fla (PRWEB) November 18, 2013

Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS) will welcome more than 1,500 Information Technology (IT) professionals to campus as they prepare to host the 2nd Annual IT Palooza on Dec. 12, 2013. Hackathons start at 8:30 a.m., breakout sessions begin at 1 p.m., and holiday festivities are at 5 p.m. The event will be held in the Carl DeSantis Building on NSU’s main campus at 3301 College Ave, Davie, FL.

“We are very excited to once again serve as the host site for the ITPalooza,” said Eric Ackerman, Ph.D., dean of GSCIS. “The magnitude of this event demonstrates the growth of the IT market in South Florida and NSU’s efforts to work with industry partners to provide very qualified graduates to meet their hiring needs.”

Organized by SherlockTech Staffing, day long activities will feature several tech education sessions designed to offer attendees an immersive learning experience, vendor-prospect interaction, hackathons, professional networking and a job opportunities fair. The day culminates with a holiday party with live entertainment provided by the IT Palooza House Band led by Host.net CMO Lenny Chesal.

Admissions officers from GSCIS will also be on hand to provide information on how to qualify for accelerated admission into the master’s degree program.
