LONDON, February 19 /PRNewswire/ -- NHS Choices (http://www.nhs.uk), the digital 'front door' to the NHS, launches a new interactive tool aimed to help people assess their drinking behaviour and improve their understanding of safe limits for sensible drinking.

Based on NHS accredited information, the drinking assessment tool (http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Alcoholcalculator.aspx?Tag=) enables users to find out in seconds whether they are drinking too much, and provides them with clinically approved guidance on cutting down or seeking advice if they are concerned about their behaviour. This interactive tool is the latest addition to the NHS Choices' extensive tool library.

"This interactive tool has been created with users in mind and is a valuable addition to the health resources being made available to the public by the NHS Choices", said a spokesman.
