NATural DISasters Now Has an Exclusive and Powerful Tool for December 21st, and All Other Future Doomsday Dates
Date:12/19/2012

(PRWEB) December 19, 2012

The Haïtian earthquake in 2010, the Japanese tsunami in 2011, Hurricane Sandy, typhoon Bopha, recurrent floods, and other severe weather events remind us that every day severe natural disasters occur somewhere in the world. Natural disasters present a major issue, not only because of their frequency, but because they cause 125,000 deaths per year (the average between 2001-2010), result in thousands of injuries, and cost on average $102 billion a year.

Until now, there was no one source for daily monitoring of all damaging natural events occurring worldwide. This gap is now filled by NATural DISasters News. The website monitors and documents all natural hazardous events, as well as natural hazard mitigation and climate change. The website’s main objective is to manage information about events that threaten national safety. Using the speed and data spectrum of the internet, the website gathers information by monitoring and processing several foreign organizations’ data in order to obtain quick and certified information.

More than a simple website, NATural DISasters News is also a powerful personal information tool. Information related to natural disasters is often very hard to find (or quite simply unavailable) and rarely updated in real time. In order to address this situation, Natural Disaster News provides “NATDIS Newswatch,” an exclusive free service that permanently monitors natural disasters worldwide.

The free NATDIS Newswatch service gives real time information about worldwide meteorological events. Once a user subscribes to the service, he or she receives automatically by email all articles about new natural disasters and also alerts, as soon as new information is published on the website. The email contains the following information: the type of disaster, date of occurrence, country, state or province, event gravity, and a complete article describing the event.

In addition, the NATDIS Newswatch service offers a professional customized version. The version’s principle is very simple and efficient: after having set the criteria of interest (type of risk, severity of the event, geographical area etc.), NATDIS Newswatch users are automatically notified that an event, or an alert matching the set criteria, occurred or has been updated. For example, if a user is only interested in news concerning floods and earthquakes in Asia resulting in more than ten victims, he or she will only receive articles that specifically meet those parameters.

The NATDIS Newswatch customized version service is available under different formats: email or RSS feeds under different formats (Atom/ RSS, Geo RSS and CAP (Common Alert Protocol)).
