The Haïtian earthquake in 2010, the Japanese tsunami in 2011, Hurricane Sandy, typhoon Bopha, recurrent floods, and other severe weather events remind us that every day severe natural disasters occur somewhere in the world. The website monitors and documents all natural hazardous events, as well as natural hazard mitigation and climate change. The website’s main objective is to manage information about events that threaten national safety. Using the speed and data spectrum of the internet, the website gathers information by monitoring and processing several foreign organizations’ data in order to obtain quick and certified information.

More than a simple website, NATural DISasters News is also a powerful personal information tool. Information related to natural disasters is often very hard to find (or quite simply unavailable) and rarely updated in real time.
