NAPW Inducts Marion Morrison, Cooperate Director of Medical Staff Support Functions, Willis-Knighton Health System, into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Marion Morrison as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. With more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

“I’m pleased to welcome Marion into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

Marion Morrison’s professional title is Cooperate Director of Medical Staff Support Functions at Willis-Knighton Health System, which specializes in continuously improving the health and well-being of the people they serve. She oversees a staff of 13, two medical staffs, and helped implement and streamline the bylaws. Ms. Morrison is also on the institutional review board and schedules meetings, peer review, complaints, doctor’s training, continuing medical education, surveys and audits, and follows NCQA, Joint Commission standards, pass certifications and accreditation. She is on the ethics committee and takes the minutes there and at all board meetings. She has been with Willis-Knighton for over 27 years and has secured her reputation as a caring and honest Director.

Ms. Morrison is currently involved with NAMSS (National Association for Medical Staff Services). She is passionate about charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Heart Association and Providence House. She walks for various foundations, tutors children and has four rescued dogs. During her downtime, she enjoys traveling, swimming, canoeing, zip lining and spending time with her grandchildren.

The unwavering dedication demonstrated by Ms. Morrison fully utilizes the aspirations for success that have earned her this recognition from the National Association of Professional Women, honoring her as an inspiration and a leader in her industry.
