NAPW Inducts Christina Colon, Drug Safety & Pharmacovigilance Compliance Manager at GlaxoSmithKlein, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Christina Colon as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in pharmacy. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

With over 12 years of experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance, Christina Colon is an asset to her company, GlaxoSmithKlein (GSK). She obtained a Master’s from Centenary College in Business Administration, and continues to advance her education and skills as new technology and medical developments come about.

GSK, a global innovator for pharmaceuticals development and vaccinations, has made cuttingedge advancements in the world of healthcare. As a Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance Compliance Manager, Ms. Colon is highly skilled in many different areas ranging from creating comprehensive training plans to monitoring contractual partners. She manages case processing, assures quality and aids in clinical development and research.

Ms. Colon is detail oriented and organized, which has enhanced her ability to complete tasks such as document management and health authority inspection. In addition to these skills, she is also extremely knowledgeable in FDA, EMA, MHRA and Health Canada regulations, including EU Clinical Trial Directive, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and 2012 EMA Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GPvP) guidelines. This wealth of expertise has made her a standout in her field.
