Date:12/2/2009

MyCareTeam, Inc., a leading vendor of Internet-based chronic disease management software, has released the newest version of its software offering. The new release now includes hypertension, congestive heart failure and weight management capabilities in addition to the existing diabetes monitoring features.

Acton, MA. (PRWEB) December 2, 2009 -- MyCareTeam, Inc., a leading vendor of Internet-based chronic disease management software, has released the newest version of its software offering. The new release now includes hypertension, congestive heart failure and weight management capabilities in addition to the existing diabetes monitoring features.

Due to the strong demand from clinical users, support for new meters has been added. The newly supported meters include ARKRAY Vital and ReliOn Confirm. In addition to adding the ARKRAY meters, MyCareTeam has added Apple Mac support for the popular LifeScan glucose meters in the new release.

“Our goal has always been to provide an Internet-based software environment suited to the needs of those who have chronic diseases”, said Jim Mingle, CEO of MyCareTeam, Inc. “We initially started out focused on diabetes, and are excited to unveil our newest capabilities which will address the needs of those with weight management issues and hypertension, and make blood glucose auto-upload capabilities available on the popular Mac platform. What’s really exciting is that the MyCareTeam patient and care provider portal now has the ability to easily track the clinical markers for diabetes, hypertension, obesity and congestive heart failure.”

The newest version of MyCareTeam software allows users with chronic diseases and their care providers to collaborate and monitor blood glucose levels, weight, blood pressure, and pulse via the Internet or standard phone lines. MyCareTeam’s software is an inexpensive way for care providers to directly monitor patients in their own home without expensive custom hardware. MyCareTeam can also be used to transmit pertinent weight and hypertension information (meal planning, calorie count, carbohydrate, fats, proteins, etc.), pulse, blood pressure, exercise information, and medication to care providers.

All of the data stored in MyCareTeam can be easily analyzed and graphed using the interactive charting component, “TotalView”, in order to give users and care providers an accurate view of all diabetes, weight management and hypertension related information.

MyCareTeam is available directly to care providers or users on a monthly or annual subscription membership basis. Visit the company’s website at www.mycareteam.com for more information.
