33Rd Annual National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contestsm to Take Place In Vermont on March 18

Did you know that you can't smell if you're asleep? That might be a good thing for the parents of the kid with the stinkiest sneakers in America. He beat out several other contestants from across the country based on wear, look and overall stench. And this was no ordinary competition. The judges' panel included a NASA scientist known as "Master Sniffer" and a world leading expert on the psychology of smell, who, yes...sampled each shoe before proclaiming the winner!

Now in its 33rd year, the Annual National Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker ContestSM is the ultimate test of just how offensive sneakers can get without intervention. On Tuesday, March 18, eight children from Las Cruces, NM; Branchville, NJ; Flushing, MI; Livermore, CA; Barre, VT; Newnan, GA; Eagle River, AK and Tooele, UT convened at The Capital Pavilion Building in Montpelier, Vermont in a tongue and foot competition. The winner of the Golden Sneaker Award trophy received $2500 as well as a trip to New York City and a MUCH needed supply of Odor-Eaters(R) products.
