NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Beach announced today actress Ali Landry will host the 2009 Ms. Planet Beach International Spokesmodel Search on November 14th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. Landry and co-host, Golden-Globe winner Lorenzo Lamas, will crown the 2009 winner with a prize that rivals America's Next Top Model and Project Runway.

"Ms. Planet Beach is more than a typical spokesmodel search, the position provides unique opportunities for entrepreneurship, travel and exposure making our competition the largest of its kind," Planet Beach CEO Steve Smith said. "Ali Landry is well-known for her role as Doritos spokesmodel and Miss USA 1996, and we're happy to have her on board to crown the new face of the Planet Beach brand." The 6th annual Ms. Planet Beach International will be produced by Natural Nine, a production company whose work includes the Emmys, Grammys, and Victoria's Secret Angels Coast to Coast show. The red carpet event will be nationally syndicated in February 2009.

Viewers don't have to wait for the broadcast to see 65 of the world's most beautiful women competing for the 2009 title of Ms. Planet Beach. Anyone can vote online at http://www.planetbeach.com/spokesmodels/ for their favorite Ms. Planet Beach contestant.

Ms. Planet Beach serves as one of Planet Beach's charitable endeavors. Each contestant vote is $1 with all proceeds benefiting Make It Right, a charitable foundation founded by Brad Pitt dedicated to rebuilding sustainable, eco-friendly homes in the Katrina devastated New Orleans 9th Ward.
