Mountainside Medical Equipment Joins the UPS Carbon Neutral Shipping Program
Date:12/6/2013

Marcy, NY (PRWEB) December 06, 2013

Mountainside Medical Equipment is proud to announce that the company is now participating in the UPS® carbon neutral shipping program. Mountainside Medical Equipment is concerned about the impact that shipping packages to our customers has on the environment, and participating in this program enables the company to mitigate the effect it has on the climate by counteracting its carbon dioxide (CO2) impact.

Through UPS’s carbon neutral Shipping Program the company is able to offset the impact that shipping products has on the environment, and the company is able to do so without the customers incurring any additional shipping costs. For each package that is shipped the company makes a monetary contribution to support conservation projects that are designed to offset the carbon emissions produced by transporting packages; projects such as reforestation, sustainable conservation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction. The carbon emissions produced by shipping and transporting packages is counterbalanced by the carbon offsets that are produced by the conservation programs; thereby reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

Mountainside Medical Equipment is committed to being an environmentally friendly business, which is why the company feels it is important to participate in sustainability programs, such as the carbon neutral shipping option from UPS.
