Health IT Integration Company Provides Development Expertise for Partners

Developing on the Google Health Platform

PORTLAND, Ore., May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Mount Tabor Online Services, Inc., a privately held information and development company, announced collaboration today with Google as a development and consulting service partner for Google Health. Google Health was launched to the public at an event at Google's headquarters today; the product allows users to store, organize, and manage their medical records online.

During the development of Google Health, Mount Tabor assisted numerous third parties with integration support who were creating new Web applications designed to utilize the Google Health data storage infrastructure. The development and consulting services Mount Tabor provides include data integration, application testing, training, and overall strategy development.

"It has been an exhilarating and great honor for our team to be working with Google to help support their data exchange partners on integration needs," said John R. Morrow, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Mount Tabor. "The critical success factors for any personal health information service are the availability, completeness, and security of an individual's health data. Google has made an enormous effort to provide individuals with access to their own medical data, and we are proud to have played a supportive role."

In anticipation of the Google Health launch, Mount Tabor has been expanding its operational capacity to serve the large number of health care organizations and Web application companies that will seek to exchange patient data with the new Google Health platform. Mount Tabor provides specialty services for data capture and control, consumer acceptance and annotation, and data normalization and transport from obscure or unusual devices and origins. For third-party developers working on the Google Health platform, Mount Tabor can help with secure hosting, technical support for functions involving data normalization and data exchange, and strategic guidance related to application development, integration, deployment and operation.

Mount Tabor also developed its own integrated service on the Google Health platform, called Lifestar(TM), which allows users different data viewing options for information stored in their Google Health profile. These views can be printed for inclusion in paper records, for sharing with doctors and other health care providers, and for sharing with family members and other caregivers. Users can also save these views in digital formats and store them in other devices such as USB drives, CD-ROMs, PDAs, etc.. For information on Lifestar(TM), go to http://www.mylifestarphr.com/.
