Date:4/7/2008

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa., April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Looking for new ideas for a Mother's Day gift or getaway? This year, in celebration of its Mother's Day MiniWeek from May 11 - 15, 2008, Deerfield Spa is giving moms professionally photographed group portraits, taken with everyone in their party, and offering complimentary make-up applications prior to their photo shoot. In addition, Mother's Day MiniWeek guests will receive $200 each towards spa services during their stay.

"Moms coming for Mother's Day MiniWeek should bring along the people they cherish," said Joan Wolff, owner of Deerfield Spa. "They'll all return home with a professional photograph of their group -- a lasting memento of Mother's Day 2008.

"And just to be sure mom and her posse look and feel their best for their photo op," Wolff continued, "Deerfield's aestheticians will do a complimentary make-up application for anyone who wants it before the photo shoot, and all Mother's Day MiniWeek guests will receive $200 toward the personal services of their choice -- from massages to peels to facials and more.

The five-night Mother's Day MiniWeek includes unlimited exercise and fitness classes, all meals and snacks of healthy spa cuisine, hiking the famed Appalachian Trail with naturalist guides, lifestyle lectures, evening programs, 24-hour use of all facilities, and swimming day or night in Deerfield's heated outdoor pool surrounded by the soaring pines of the Pocono Mountains.

Deerfield is one of the most affordable destination spas in North America, according to SpaFinder's Readers Survey in 2006 and 2007, and was recently featured on NBC's Today Show by travel editor, Peter Greenberg, among affordable all-inclusive vacation destinations. Rates for the five-night, all-inclusive Mother's Day MiniWeek range from $800 to $1275 per person, depending on guests' choice of accommodations. Reservations can be made at (800) 852-4494.
