Mother of Ty Pennington and Renowned AD/HD Expert Dr. Yvonne Pennington to Speak at Baltimore Conference on AD/HD

WASHINGTON, April 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CHADD, the nation's largest family-based organization advocating for people with attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), has announced that it will host a one day seminar entitled "Ages & Stages of Learning and AD/HD," at the Baltimore Hilton on Saturday, May 9.

Nationally renowned experts will offer extensive information about managing AD/HD and a special "Power Lunch" will feature Dr. Yvonne Pennington, renowned AD/HD expert and mother of Ty Pennington, host of ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

"Things change fast in the AD/HD field. From diagnostic techniques to treatment best-practices to new management approaches, there is a steady flow of fresh information and research to stay on top of," noted Clarke Ross, CHADD's CEO. "CHADD provides reliable and current information and resources about AD/HD to the education and mental health communities as well as parents and adults. One way we do that is through our regional conference series, which we're excited to bring to Baltimore on May 9."

The regional event will offer people in the mid-Atlantic area an incredible amount of information through high-caliber experts who are usually only available to attendees at CHADD's annual conferences. The conference is hosted by CHADD and co-sponsored by Loyola College School of Education.

This conference, especially appropriate for teachers, parents and psychologists, will offer research-based information and promising practices that have changed lives. Attendees will gain insight and walk away empowered after hearing experts address some of the following topics:
