Mother and Son Provide Products to Ease Side-Effects of Cancer Treatments
Date:6/2/2009

tals, cancer boutiques and drug stores all over town to find all of the products we carry to help them."

That was precisely the situation Suzan Maddox faced before launching the Web site with her son, Peyton. Suzan, a cancer survivor of 15 years, had a difficult time finding products to minimize the effects of her cancer treatments. Her frustration, essentially, set the stage for the inception of MaddoxOncology.com. "She vowed that if she made it through her cancer, she would do whatever she could to help others avoid having to go through the same thing," he said.

With the help of other cancer patients, Suzan identified and developed a line of products that addressed various quality of life issues they had all encountered. She sought to create a single place where cancer patients could purchase products from the comfort of their home to alleviate treatment side-effects. Peyton Maddox, a computer programmer by trade, joined her in that quest. MaddoxOncology.com is the result of their efforts. "Our family has experienced cancer first hand," he said. "We are working diligently to provide great products to meet the special needs of cancer patients."
