Mosquito Squad mosquito control – the mosquito exterminator – partners with Malaria No More to decrease the number of malaria deaths

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 14, 2010 -- Mosquito Squad mosquito control, the mosquito exterminator, is happy to announce their new partnership with Malaria No More. Through fundraising for mosquito control in affected areas, Mosquito Squad hopes to help Malaria No More decrease the number of malaria-related deaths.

“Malaria is a preventable and treatable disease that kills over 850,000 people every year, most of them children,” says Scott Zide, Chief Operating Officer of Outdoor Living Brands, Mosquito Squad’s parent company. “Mosquito Squad was built on the idea of helping people fight insect-borne diseases, so working with Malaria No More was a no-brainer for us.”

Malaria No More is committed to ending malaria deaths in Africa by 2015 by supporting the distribution of effective, life-saving mosquito nets to help African families protect their children from malaria.

“Malaria No More is a wonderful organization that has helped millions of people,” says Zide. “They have spearheaded the movement against malaria and we’re honored to work with them.”

Mosquito Squad mosquito control will partner with Malaria No More by raising money at the national and local levels to purchase mosquito nets at a cost of $10 per net. Adds Zide; “our franchise owners understand that community awareness and outreach will not only help Malaria No More, but also the Mosquito Squad brand.”

As part of their community outreach, Mosquito Squad mosquito control will hold events in schools across the country, informing students and faculty about the importance of fighting malaria.
