More Than 90% of Physicians Gain Confidence Following January Medical Communications Course
Date:2/26/2013

Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) February 26, 2013

Physicians and pharmacists from 40 countries report they have strengthened their public speaking proficiency and ability to communicate medical data to multi-cultural audiences after attending medical sciences skills training programs developed by Innovaacom. Exit polls from a program held in January, showed that 96% of doctors reported gaining greater confidence in their public speaking abilities after taking the Innovaacom course and 94% planned to seek out more opportunities to speak and present in the future.

Public speaking is an anxiety producer for nearly 75% of men and women according to a 2012 study by the National Institute of Mental Health. Most presenter anxiety is the result of a lack of preparation and practice which leads to low confidence according to Innovaacom L.L.C, a global company specializing in public speaking and professional development training programs for international healthcare professionals. “However, by learning the key steps required to create and deliver an impactful scientific presentation, even non-native English speaking physicians can reduce their anxiety and enhance their confidence to present at small meetings or large congresses,” explains Andree Rose, a medical communications expert and Innovaacom workshop facilitator.

Innovaacom began offering accredited medical communications workshops to thousands of healthcare professionals across the world after identifying gaps in their training and presentation experience. The professional development courses help attendees design and deliver effective medical talks, turn scientific data into visually compelling presentations and handle audience questions ormedia interviews. Innovaacom customizes CME and non-CME medical communications programs that support hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions in creating a global exchange of medical knowledge and best practices.
