Moores UCSD Cancer Center Luau and Longboard Invitational Hosts Survivor Beach Aug. 9

nentech Oceanside, Survivor Beach is free and open to the public. Participants will receive a free souvenir and will be registered to win a pair of tickets to the 16th annual Moores UCSD Cancer Center Luau & Longboard Invitational. The person who brings the most surfboards will receive a prize. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m., August 9 on the beach by Scripps Pier. Survivor Beach precedes the annual Luau & Longboard Invitational, which will be held on August 23 and will celebrate 16 years surfing for a cure. Since its founding, the "Longboard Luau" has raised more than $3 million to fund groundbreaking cancer research at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center, the region's only comprehensive cancer center designated by the National Cancer Institute.
