Monarch Landing Located in the Best City For Early Retirement by Kiplinger
Date:12/18/2013

(PRWEB) December 18, 2013

It’s impressive but not a surprise to the residents of Monarch Landing that they’re living in what’s been named the best city for early retirement by Kiplinger and reported by Yahoo! Home. Besting traditional snowbird favorites including Honolulu, suburban Phoenix and Virginia Beach; experts have named Naperville the number one early retirement destination in the U.S.

Kiplinger is a leader in personal finance news and business forecasting. Their report lauds Naperville for its low crime rate and safe suburban location that still affords the opportunity to take advantage “of all of the urban offerings of nearby Chicago. In about an hour aboard the Metra commuter-rail system, you can reach Union Station with a $5.75 one-way ticket, reduced to $2.75 for seniors. Once in the city, relish everything that makes Chicago famous including its food, bars, beach, architecture, sports teams and art scene.” The report also praises Naperville’s “pedestrian-friendly downtown which is packed with shops and restaurants as well as a 1.75 mile Riverwalk.”

“Our ideal location is enormously important to the residents of Monarch Landing,” said Renee Garvin, executive director. “Many take advantage of the educational and recreational offerings through our partnership with North Central College, located in downtown Naperville, while others enjoy biking or taking a walk along the Prairie Path.”

Monarch Landing is a continuing care retirement community on a scenic campus in Naperville, Illinois-named “one of America’s best places to live and retire” by Modern Maturity, and “the best city for early retirement” by Kiplinger. The Springs at Monarch Landing which is currently under construction, will offer assisted living memory support, rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. Monarch Landing is owned by Senior Care Development and managed by Life Care Services. For additional information visit '/>"/>
