Mommylish Launches Its Website
Date:7/31/2014

(PRWEB) July 31, 2014

Most mommy blogs are simple family journals, confessionals or fashion picture journals. Mommylish’s main purpose is to attract all mothers from all walks of life. Magazines/websites are strictly targeted to a particular group; whether its high fashion or child rearing. When Felicia Blendermann became a mother she realized that everything on the Internet was so segmented. “I found myself visiting various sites to get information on a particular topic and then search Google to get information on another. At the time I had a YouTube channel strictly dedicated to fashion design and sewing tutorials. It was an outlet to keep my creative juices flowing and teach others what I learned in the industry. Once I had my daughter a whole new world opened up and I had a light bulb moment. I wanted to create a community where I can share the many facets of motherhood and offer tips, suggestions, tutorials and advice.”

Mommylish.com also has an advice section pen named Miss Mimi. The column will answer life questions, concerns, and more. Miss Mimi provides the reader with blunt, honest opinions of a subject matter. The feature is posted as often as requests come in. The DIY section will start a segment to mothers interested in sewing and DIY clothes. Video segments will cover a topic exclusively intended for novices. Step by step video instructions will make each segment fun, enriching and easy to follow.

“The blog isn't chronicling my family life; it's about my experiences as a mom, which other women can relate to. I don't plan on posting selfies or pictures of my trip to a mommy and me session. I've learned a lot as a first time mom and each day I continue to learn and grow from the experience. Like many mothers, I've had to make sacrifices and changes to accommodate the new role in my life. The way I dress, workout, manage my time, spend my money and think have drastically altered as a result of this beautiful thing called motherhood.” - Felicia Blenderman

Felicia attended the Fashion Institute of Technology and interned for Vera Wang. She also started a DIY clothes and fashion YouTube channel called Sweet Material in 2009. Within a short amount of time, her videos were positioned among the top ten YouTube instructional videos.
