Mollen Responds to Flu Outbreak
Date:1/23/2013

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) January 23, 2013

Mollen Immunization Clinics, the nation’s largest independent mass immunizer has mobilized its network of health professionals and remaining supply of flu vaccine to help make sure Arizona’s most vulnerable residents have an opportunity to receive a flu shot. Mollen has donated 500 doses of flu vaccine to the United Way FireStar Program as managed by Friendly House. Since 1920 Friendly House has served the under resourced in the Phoenix Central City South area community with educational, health, employment and social programs. The flu vaccine donation will be distributed at five Central City South schools to vaccinate both students and parents without the resources to obtain a flu immunization.

“This year’s flu outbreak has been particularly severe” stated Mike Cihlar, Mollen’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are proud to be able to donate vaccine to the United Way and Friendly House to immunize our most vulnerable neighbors.”

In addition to donating vaccine, Mollen has reopened four of its brick and mortar locations around the valley which had ceased operation at the end of the traditional vaccination season. “When there is a spike in flu cases, those who failed to get vaccinated earlier, rush to get their shot” Cihlar stated. “We have experienced extremely high demand in the locations we have reopened. We are glad that we are able to help satisfy demand and get Arizonan’s vaccinated.”

Finally, Mollen has partnered with Bashas’ stores to offer immunizations in five Bashas’ locations in the area. “We are glad that through our longstanding partnership with Bashas’ that we are able to offer immunizations at a time when many other retailers have run out of vaccine” stated Cihlar. “We are committed to getting all of the vaccine we have left delivered to the people who need it in the most convenient and cost effective ways possible.”

Individuals can visit http://www.FluShotsUSA.com to find clinic locations and pre-register for immunizations. Individuals may also walk-in to any clinic location without an appointment.
