Elberton, GA (PRWEB) December 14, 2012

Rehabmart.com, an online e-commerce company that sells rehabilitation and medical supplies, has joined into a distribution collaboration with Prime Engineering to offer their Wheelie Mobile Prone Stander to a wider consumer market. As a key player in pioneering the concept of standing programs for people with disabilities, Prime Engineering is recognized as the innovator of standing systems since 1984. Understanding the importance of not only standing, but standing correctly, Prime Engineering gathers input from users, parents, and healthcare professionals to create the most advanced personal and clinical standing devices on the market.

As a perfect example of the balance and symmetry that are fundamental to all of the Prime Engineering products, the Wheelie Mobile Prone Stander offers independent user mobility in an aesthetically interesting standing system for children. Enhanced interaction with peers and increased activity and exercise greatly improve quality of life for young users, while an increased sense of independence improves self esteem, perspective and outlook. This unique mobile stander offers an adjustable tilt angle up to 15-degrees for optimal standing positions. Standard features include a strap positioning system with padded seat and back support, body pads with fully adjustable lateral supports, an adjustable knee support system, a chin-rest, adjustable foot plates, and wheels with quick-release axles and an attendant operated wheel lock.

Special options for the Wheelie include a pommel, rigid hip pad, handrims, spoke guards and custom modifications such as right or left handed brake assembly. The Wheelie Mobile Prone Stander (WMPS) is available in three different sizes, with the WMPS I accommodating children 30 to 37 inches in height, with a working weight capacity of 75 pounds; the WMPS II for children 38 to 47 inches in height, with a working weight capacity of 100 pounds; and the WMPS III designed for children 48 to 60 inches in height, with a working weight capacity of 150 pounds.

“We are delighted to introduce more consumers to the stylish and highly functional Wheelie Mobile Prone Stander from Prime Engineering,” said Hulet Smith, OTR/L, MBA and CEO of Rehabmart. “Providing safe, comfortable and fun mobility for kids with varying disabilities, the Wheelie offers proper standing positioning which is so crucial for overall good health. Adjustability and a wide array of options allow parents, caregivers and therapists to customize this innovative mobile standing device to their own child's or client's unique requirements.
