Mobile Emergency Group Implements DST Health Solutions' Revenue Cycle Management Outsourcing Services
Date:3/16/2009

Services Include Coding, Billing, Reimbursement and Disaster Recovery for Large Emergency Physician Staffing Practice in Mobile

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- DST Health Solutions today announced that Mobile Emergency Group, P.C., has successfully implemented its revenue cycle management outsourcing services, including coding, billing, reimbursement, credentialing and disaster recovery.

Mobile Emergency Group and affiliated Baldwin Physician Services provide emergency physician and hospitalist staffing services to four Mobile area hospitals. DST Health Solutions provides the 40-physician group with a comprehensive, outsourced revenue cycle management solution that is fully integrated with the group's emergency department information system.

"DST Health Solutions' robust reporting capabilities enable us to provide feedback to physicians on their charting practices," said William Admire, D.O., president and CEO, Mobile Emergency Group. "By improving the accuracy of our charting and coding, we can optimize revenue. Additionally, we're susceptible to hurricanes and flooding here on the Gulf Coast, so we needed a service provider who could provide secure, off-site record storage and disaster recovery services."

In addition, the revenue cycle management solution helps DST Health Solutions coders track care quality data - such as Medicare PQRI measures for myocardial infarction - to ensure that Mobile Emergency Group meets or exceeds national standards.

"We have years of experience providing outsourcing services to help emergency physician practices improve administrative efficiency and quality of care," said Steve Sabino, president, DST Health Solutions. "In our work with Mobile Emergency Group, we're applying our experience and economies of scale to help streamline their business operations."
