Mitsubishi Pharma to Speak at Pharmica Consulting’s CRO Management Conference
Date:4/24/2013

Princeton, NJ (PRWEB) April 24, 2013

The Pharma industry in 2013 will continue the downsizing of drug development operations, placing an ever greater reliance on strategic CRO alliances and collaborative technologies. As sponsors increase their dependency on CROs, the need for transparency between the two will increase as well. To explore this dynamic, Pharmica Consulting will be hosting its first CRO Management Conference which will focus on how sponsors and CROs are currently using clinical operations technology and the impact it has on the overall partnership and the future of integrating technology as a means towards enhancing the sponsor-CRO relationship. Chris Cirillo, Associate Director at Mitsubishi, has been added to the agenda as a speaker.

“We are glad to have Chris Cirillo from Mitsubishi Pharma as a speaker,” said Eric Lake, Partner with Pharmica Consulting. “He’s going to talk about working with CROs during ‘rescue’ efforts – something I’m sure everyone can relate to.”

“Putting studies in ‘rescue mode’ is an all-too-often occurrence,” said Matt Kiernan, Partner with Pharmica Consulting. “Chris will be talking about how to get through this stressful time without completely destroying the relationship with your CRO partner. It’s not an easy thing.”

“There are a lot of issues in clinical operations with regards to project management during the rescue phase,” adds Maggie Adamski, Consultant at Pharmica. “You need to manage the relationship but you also need to manage the work so deliverables to fall through the cracks, especially if there’s some kind of transitioning going on.”
