Mitsubishi Electric Automation Showcases Advanced Material Handling Solutions at the North American Material Handling Show (NA 08)

CLEVELAND, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- In its first appearance at a North American Material Handling show, Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc., one of the world's premier industrial automation companies, demonstrated some of the most advanced and reliable high-speed control and data transfer solutions available for material handling. (Mitsubishi Electric Automation Exhibit # 307)

"For the first time at a North American material handling exhibition, Mitsubishi Electric Automation is showing its solutions for conveyance, sortation, parcel gapping and metering applications," said Donald Edsall, strategic account manager, Material Handling Industry. "We are introducing customers in North America to what we believe are the most reliable, flexible and cost effective automation solutions available for material handling."

Edsall said the automation hardware on display at the Mitsubishi Electric Automation booth will interest any organization seeking significant productivity improvements in high-speed material handling. Mitsubishi Electric Automation demonstrated the recently introduced CC-Link IE -- the first gigabit industrial Ethernet technology for automation networks. The capacity of the CC-Link IE open-architecture network moves the integration of material handling control and data acquisition into a new realm of performance.

The company also showcased a number of new product lines at NA 08, including the A700 series high-performance variable frequency drives that feature adaptive auto-tuning, which automatically compensates for changes in load inertia and offers servo motor-like technology at the price of a variable frequency drive. Also introduced was the MR-J3 AC servo line, which is smaller, faster and offers increased accuracy and more advanced features than earlier models.
