Missouri House Recognizes 'Extraordinary' Efforts Supporting National Guard Families
Date:10/3/2007

PHOENIX, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Missouri House of Representatives recognized a TriWest Healthcare Alliance employee for her "extraordinary" efforts serving the state's National Guard Service members and their families.

The House honored Kathryn Lucero, a TriWest beneficiary service and education representative serving Missouri, in an award ceremony for devoting "an exceptional amount to time and energy to assisting soldiers and airmen of the Missouri National Guard."

The proclamation, offered by Representative Bill Deeken and Speaker of the House Rod Jetton, stated:

"Kathryn Lucero has attained considerable distinction as a Beneficiary

Education Representative for TriWest Healthcare Alliance who has provided

health benefit information to more than 5,000 members of the Missouri

National Guard, retirees, and members of their families during the past

two years.

"And while working with National Guardsmen at Missouri's Fort Leonard Wood

and Whiteman Air Force Base, Kathryn Lucero has demonstrated a commitment

to men and women in uniform that is not limited to a normal eight-hour

workday or a 40-hour workweek.

"And Kathryn Lucero's selfless service and caring attitude has helped the

Missouri National Guard to ensure that its members are knowledgeable

concerning the medical benefits that they have earned through enlistment

in components of the United States armed forces."

Don Brown, TriWest Central Market vice president serving Missouri, said "I am so proud of Kathy and all of these folks who understand the importance of what we are doing."

TriWest President and CEO David McIntyre, Jr., also expressed appreciation, stating, "You are credit to us all. Thanks for what you have been doing and continue to do to assist those who are sacrificing so much on all of our behalf."
