Mississippi Radiation Oncology Practice Signs Contract With Billing Company
Date:10/21/2013

Biloxi, Mississippi (PRWEB) October 21, 2013

Biloxi’s only outpatient radiation oncology center, Cedar Lake Oncology, has signed a billing and collections contract with Universal Health Networks (UHN). This contract will enable the practice to provide better billing services to their patients and also improve their collections.

The contract states that UHN will provide the following services to Cedar Lake Oncology:

  •     Contact Credentialing: Allowing clients to get on provider plans with fee schedule review, enhancing provider contracts
  •     Billing & Collecting: Ensuring that clients are paid for the work performed, maximizing revenue and cost reduction

UHN is known for providing their clients with laser-focused radiation oncology specific medical billing and collections services. This niche focus allows UHN to streamline processes for compliance with generally accepted accounting standards, quality assurance and risk management by their auditing specialists. With access to quality information and metrics, UHN is able to assess and improve radiation oncology billing procedures. This allows them to be prepared for industry changes such as ICD-10, meaningful use and bundled payment options.

Universal Health Network
UHN, based in Hornell, New York, works with radiation oncology practices and hospital systems across the country to improve their medical billing practices. They assist their clients with all billing and collection activities while remaining transparent because Universal Health Network aims to serve as an extension of their clients’ practices as opposed to working autonomously. With the ever-changing medical billing landscape, it is important for practices to be up to date with their protocols, which UHN is able to do by staying laser-focused on the radiation oncology industry.

**Universal Health Network has a marketing partnership with Atlantic Health Solutions, making their healthcare marketing, management and online reputation services available to all interested UHN clients.
