Mirixa Enters Next Stage of Growth and Development
RESTON, Va., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Mirixa Corporation announced today that Donald W. Hackett, chief executive officer, has left his position as CEO of the company, effective immediately.
Bruce Roberts, RPh, executive vice president and CEO of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) and chairman of Mirixa's board of directors, expressed appreciation for Don's stewardship of the company through the past year of rapid growth. "Don has played an essential role in building an expanded vision for Mirixa as a leader in pharmacy clinical technologies and patient care services. Don led the company through a key stage in its development. Under his leadership we grew our pharmacy network, built a world- class team, launched new products and solutions, and opened and expanded into several new customer markets."
Roberts added "Mirixa is entering a new and exciting phase of growth and with that evolution comes the need for new leadership. We have ambitious plans for company growth in 2008 and beyond, and are now putting in place the pieces to maximize our future success."
Mark Carberry, chief operating officer and chief information officer and Eric Zimmerman, chief innovation officer and general manager, Mirixa Clinical will co-lead the company on an interim basis. Carberry is based in the company's Reston, VA headquarters, and Zimmerman in the company's Emeryville, CA technology center. While the search for a new CEO proceeds, Chairman Roberts will step into the company on an interim basis, joining Carberry and Zimmerman on its management team.
