Date:7/16/2013

New York, New York (PRWEB) July 16, 2013

Mirena lawsuit claims pending in a federal multidistrict litigation now underway in U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, continue to mount, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports. According to a July 10th update issued by the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML), more than 105 Mirena side effects lawsuits have been transferred to the Southern District of New York since the multidistrict litigation was established by the JPML this past April. “We continue to hear from women who have allegedly suffered serious Mirena side effects due to the spontaneous migration of the device. Our Firm is not surprised that this litigation is growing so quickly,” says Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing victims of defective drugs and medical devices. The Firm is currently offering free Mirena lawsuit consultations to anyone who may have been harmed by this birth control device.

According to a recent report from NewsChannel5 in Cleveland, Ohio, more than 2 million women use Mirena as their method of birth control. However, since its launch in 2000,over 70,000 Mirena side effects reports have been made to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), including thousands of reports of device dislocation and uterine perforations.*
