Mirena Lawsuits Continue to Mount, As Bernstein Liebhard LLP Notes Filing of New Claim on Behalf of Alleged Victim of Mirena Complications

Mirena IUD lawsuits (http://www.mirenalawsuitclaims.com/) continue to mount in courts around the country, as Bernstein Liebhard LLP notes the filing of a new claim on behalf of an Indiana woman who allegedly suffered infertility and other alleged Mirena complications following spontaneous migration of the IUD. The Mirena lawsuit, which was filed earlier this month in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana, further alleges that the woman’s unborn child suffered severe birth defects, due to unregulated amounts of hormones that were released when the IUD fragmented within her body. According to her complaint, the Plaintiff continues to suffer from dysfunctional uterine bleeding, intermenstrual bleeding, irregular menstruation, abdominal pain, and infertility due to the complications she allegedly sustained from Mirena. (Case No. 1:13-cv-01565-JMS-DK)

“This case is of great interest to our Firm, as we are representing a number of women who allegedly suffered serious Mirena complications when the IUD migrated from its proper position in the uterus,” says Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing victims of defective drugs and medical devices. Mirena IUD Lawsuits
The Mirena IUD has been on the market since 2000, and is approved for contraception and as a treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding in women who wish to use an IUD as their primary form of birth control. Court documents indicate that hundreds of Mirena lawsuits have been filed in courts around the country on behalf of women who allegedly suffered serious injuries following spontaneous migration of the IUD.
