Court records indicate that a new Case Management Order was filed in the proceeding on August 5th that, among other things, establishes protocols for the filing of certain Defense Motions. The Order also establishes dates for additional Case Management Conferences through February 2015. (In Re: Mirena Litigation; Case No. 297)

The complaints further allege that Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals failed to warn that spontaneous IUD migration could occur with Mirena.
In addition to the cases pending in New Jersey, court documents show that at least 612 additional Mirena lawsuits involving similar allegations have been filed in a federal multicounty litigation now underway in U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.
