Mirena IUD Lawsuit News: Bernstein Liebhard LLP Notes Issuance of New Case List in New Jersey Mirena Litigation

Mirena IUD lawsuit claims continue to mount in a Multicounty Litigation now underway in New Jersey’s Bergen County Superior Court, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports. According to a new Case List issued by the Court on July 9th, at least 170 Mirena lawsuits are currently pending in the New Jersey proceeding. Court documents also indicate that the litigation’s next Case Management Conference has been scheduled for August 13, 2013. (In Re: Mirena Litigation; Case No. 297)

“We hear regularly from young women who have allegedly suffered serious Mirena side effects due to spontaneous migration of this IUD. Mirena IUD Lawsuits
All of the Mirena lawsuits pending in the New Jersey litigation allege Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals failed to provide adequate warnings regarding the risk of serious complications associated with spontaneous migration of the device. Court documents indicate that nearly 50 additional Mirena lawsuits involving similar allegations have been filed in a multidistrict litigation now underway in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.
