Minnesota Residents Save Over $50,000 on Prescriptions with the Coast2Coast Rx Card Endorsed by The Association of Minnesota Counties

Director Jeff Spartz. “This comprehensive program can easily help our members in public service further their missions to provide resources for constituents’ health and finances,” said Spartz. Spartz added, “Many people don’t have comprehensive prescription coverage. These discount cards may make it possible for people to obtain much-needed prescriptions that prevent more expensive and prolonged health problems which, of course, significantly detract from the quality of people’s lives."

Coast2Coast Rx, at no cost to the participating municipalities or to consumers, provides savings on thousands of prescription drugs while improving health outcomes by making the card available to all with no restrictions on age, economic status, or existing health conditions.

With an average nationwide savings of 60 percent, the card can offer significant relief to those without health insurance but it also can be effective for those with insurance who pay high deductibles or need prescriptions that are not covered under their current plan. In some cases the card can be used to help alleviate the expenses of the Medicare Part D “donut hole.”

“The Coast2Coast Rx card saves consumers nationwide millions of dollars each year on their prescriptions and health care costs, and with the increased participation of cities, counties and townships, we can maximize our contributions to our partner municipalities,” said Chief Marketing Officer Marty Dettelbach of Financial Marketing Concepts, Inc., the company that provides the discount prescription card. “To that end, we encourage those serving Minnesota residents to follow the lead of the Association of Minnesota Counties in endorsing the Coast2Coast Rx card for the benefit of their constituents.”
