Minnesota Life Engages Atomic Playpen to Build Market Awareness
Date:5/4/2009

MINNEAPOLIS, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortune 1000 employers face a dilemma. They want competitive benefits packages to attract and keep the best employees but more than ever need to watch the bottom line.

Serving this market, Minnesota Life's Group Insurance Division (www.lifebenefits.com) also faces a dilemma. The company has grown to be the country's fourth largest group life insurer, but its name is hardly a household word. To generate greater awareness of its products and services - particularly its industry-leading technology - Minnesota Life has engaged Atomic Playpen Interactive + MJ Kretsinger Advertising (AP+MJK) as its marketing partner.

AP+MJK is tasked with generating awareness among HR decision makers, brokers and C-Level executives in the large employer market. Work on the account will begin immediately, beginning with strategies for beefing up Minnesota Life's Web presence.

"We selected AP+MJK because of their Web-centric approach to advertising and their ability to handle both our online and offline communication planning," stated Paula Bilitz, Director of Group Marketing at Minnesota Life. "They clearly have an understanding of today's interactive market and know how to engage customers online."

"We're excited to be the strategic partner for Minnesota Life and help them take their brand to the next level," said Jim Silburn, VP Account Services/Partner for Atomic Playpen. "Between our knowledge of interactive and Minnesota Life's reputation for superior service, we feel it will be a very successful relationship."
