Mindray DS USA Appoints Michael Thompson Vice President of U.S. Ultrasound Sales

MAHWAH, N.J., Sept. 4 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Mindray DS USA, a Mindray Global Company, announces the recent appointment of Michael Thompson as vice president of ultrasound sales for the U.S. Thompson brings more than 20 years of medical sales, sales force management and business development to the position.

"Mindray has experienced substantial revenue growth in its ultrasound product line throughout the world," said Frank Gregorio, vice president of Sales Operations, Mindray DS USA. "Now we are focusing on growing our ultrasound business in the U.S., which is the largest ultrasound market in the world. With U.S. headquarters in Mahwah, N.J., Mindray was founded in 1991 in Shenzhen, China, with a mission to deliver high-quality, competitively priced medical devices to make healthcare more accessible and affordable around the world. The company's ultrasound platform has especially experienced growth and is recognized for its significant performance to value ratio. Mindray acquired the Datascope Patient Monitoring division in 2008 and merged the North American business together to form Mindray DS USA, a new health care organization which designs, manufactures, and sells, medical imaging, patient monitoring, anesthesia delivery, and in-vitro diagnostic products.
