About Milwaukee County Employees' Retirement System

The Employees' Retirement System of the County of Milwaukee manages more than $1.8 billion in trust fund assets. MCERS provides for a system of retirement, disability, and death benefits for its employees and is managed by a nine member Pension Board. The nine member Pension Board consists of three members appointed by the County Executive, two members appointed by county board chairman, three employee members elected by the employee participants, and one employee member elected by retired participants.
