Milton Frank Appointed COO of Life Recovery Systems
Date:7/9/2008

KINNELON, N.J., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Life Recovery Systems HD, LLC, a developer of ground-breaking medical devices for the emergency care market, has appointed Milton Frank as Chief Operating Officer. Frank has more than 30 years of experience in medical and electronic device manufacturing. He will remain as president and CEO of NEXCORE Technology, Inc., a world-class Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of medical devices with headquarters in Waldwick, NJ.

Life Recovery Systems developed and markets the ThermoSuit(R) System, the fastest noninvasive hypothermia device, which rapidly reduces core body temperature in a patient to between 33 degrees centigrade and 37 degrees centigrade in a matter of minutes. The system continuously pumps a thin film of ice water around the patient's body until the temperature reaches a preset level. This unique technology cools patients at a rate of one degree centigrade for every seven minutes of treatment. The duration of cooling treatment required to achieve target temperature is typically 20 to 30 minutes. Numerous publications support the potential benefits of rapid cooling. After cooling, the patient is removed from the ThermoSuit System and can easily be transported around the hospital for other therapeutic treatments. Patients cooled with the ThermoSuit System typically stay cold for hours with little or no further maintenance cooling required.

NEXCORE worked with Life Recovery Systems to develop the system.

"Milt Frank has been involved in the development and manufacturing of numerous electronic and digital devices for 30 years and has a hands-on knowledge of the ThermoSuit System," said Dr. Robert J. Freedman, chairman and president of Life Recovery Systems. "In addition to this technology expertise, he is a highly capable and motivating executive and marketer, who will help us meet the growing demand for our product."

Prior to founding NEXCORE Technology in 1999, Frank co-founded the Xylog Corporation, an OEM manufacturer of turnkey electronic equipment. In 1987, deciding to concentrate in the medical field, Frank and a partner formed Meditron Devices to market directly to hospitals and gastroenterologists. They merged Meditron with Xylog, which pursued private label OEM medical contracts in all medical specialties.

In 1992, the company was sold to BEI Electronics, a San Francisco-based public company, to serve as the foundation for BEI's entry into the medical device industry. Frank became Vice President of R&D for that venture and was responsible for the development of all new products.

The holder of numerous patents, Frank received both B.S. and Masters degrees in electrical engineering from the City College of New York.
